        C diff and other microbes create biofilms if they evade the immune system and settle into the body. This has been known for years. One of many references:

        What’s also been “known” for years is the effectiveness of fecal transplants in treating c-diff infections. I recall reading the results from the clinical studies last year and results were so good, they were hard to believe. Here’s a current headline:

        One way to look at this method of treatment: it’s an efficient, appropriate probiotic delivery that controls, mediates or beats back these biofilm infections.
